Coils are used and mounted in various ways. To ensure proper fit and to simplify installation, the coil’s outer frame (casing) can be designed to fit your particular ductwork, equipment, or special needs.
Our basic coil casing encloses the coil fins and tubes, and is formed from 16 Ga. galvanized steel sheet metal, but other thicknesses and materials are available. We also have the flexibility to incorporate other designs and features, or provide structural support beyond the coil casing. Many of our casing options can help to lower installation costs, add strength, and ease maintenance.
The most common coil casing options we offer are:
- Aluminum, stainless steel, and copper materials
- Coils without casings (non-encased)
- Airtight coil casing
- Removable frame to easily remove the coil from ductwork
- Casings designed to easily stack or mount coils together
- Integrated drip pans and air filter access
- Structural reinforcement to allow mounting of fans and motors
- Support legs for a coil and ductwork transitions
- Mounting holes and fastening nuts
- Inverted or reinforced coil casing mounting flanges
- Lifting and installation brackets
- Floating coil cores and/or coil tube bushings
- Integrated damper or air bypass sections
- Safety covers for headers and tube return bends
Other customized coil casings or specialized heavy duty coil housings using plate material can be provided. Contact the closest Super Radiator Coils facility to discuss your particular requirement in detail.
