Bleed Air Coolers

Air cooled heat exchangers that cool bleed air off the compression stage of the turbine before combustion. They allow the cooled bleed air to be used as facility air and control the discharge temperature and pressure.

Combustion Air Pre-Heaters

Combustion Air Pre-Heaters extract waste heat and pre-heat the combusion air on a turbine in order to increase the efficiency. These coils can carry and ASME Section VIII Div. 1 stamp and/or a S stamp. 

Engine/Glycol Coolers

Air cooled heat exchangers constructed with plug box heads or pipe heads to cool the jacket water loop and auxiliary loops on engines. 

Heat Recovery

ASME Section VIII pressure vessels used to take exhaust gas and preheat another fluid.

Lube Oil

Air cooled heat exchangers that cool lubricating oil on turbine bearings. ASME Section VIII Div. 1 and PED certifications available. Options include pumps, controls, and oil flushing to the intent of API 614.

Turbine Inlet Air

Turbine inlet cooling coils used to increase the efficiency of turbines. Coils can be constructed to the following specifications:

• Materials: copper, aluminum, or stainless steel
• Protective coating
• ASME Section VIII Div 1 certification or in accordance with the PED.

SRC also offers anti-icing coils to prevent the turbine blades from freezing up in cold weather climates.

 Nuclear Coils

Cooling coils for containment, drywell, or general room cooling. ASME Section III with N or NPT stamp, Class 2 or 3. 10 CFR50 Appendix B.
